2017 Vector Encounter



Small Group Formations:
 
In view of the positive response of last year, we will repeat the small group presentations this year. The format will be as follows.
 
Non-PIs (i.e., students, postdocs) will prepare and bring along with them a summary of their projects to be presented in approximately 10 minutes (no more than 8 slides). This presentation can be on a laptop, on a tablet or as a hard copy (paper). After the last chalk talk on Thursday afternoon (about 3:30 PM), we will form small groups of about 4 presenters plus one or two PIs who will act as moderators. The presenters will take turns in introducing their project and may be interrupted with questions. We encourage the presenters to include their immediate future research plans in order to get feedback from the group.
 
For those who choose not to present, there will be discussion groups on subjects to be determined, that will meet at the same time as the small groups.
 
If you are NOT a PI, please indicate whether or not you will present.
If you are a PI, please indicate your willingness to moderate a small group.

Registration fee includes Thursday and Friday lunch plus 2 breaks each day
