Core Facilities for Malaria Research The Institute’s five core facilities provides research support services to Johns Hopkins-affiliated labs. Insectary Core The Insectary Core Facility is dedicated to the production of mosquitoes for research purposes. Parasitology Core The Parasitology Core Facility supports a variety of projects that focus on the parasite’s interactions with the mosquito vector and human host and other biological processes that are associated with its capacity to transmit and infect. Genomic Analysis The MMI Genomic Analysis and Sequencing Facility provides expertise and service for specific project needs. Imaging and Microscopy Core The imaging and microscopy core facility provides advanced instrumentation for the digital documentation of everything from macromolecules to cells and tissues. Spatial Sciences Core The Spatial Sciences Core provides computing and statistical infrastructure and analysis expertise to define relationships between environmental conditions and the transmission of infectious diseases.
