Parasitology Core Facility
An essential component of a research institute that studies the molecular biology and genetics of malaria is the availability of the malaria parasite Plasmodium. The facility supports a variety of projects that focus on the parasite’s interactions with the mosquito vector and human host, and other biological processes that are relevant for its capacity to transmit and infect. The facility is spatially integrate with the insectary core facility and comprises a state-of-the-art tissue culture room with relevant equipment.
